Questions we get asked
- Is a marble slab always better than marble tile for a wall?
- No. A slab can look cleaner because it has fewer visible joints, but tile may be easier to fit around corners, small areas, or rooms where large panels cannot be moved. The better choice depends on the wall size, site access, and the look you want.
- Are marble tiles too thin or weak for wall cladding?
- Wall tiles are often thinner than floor tiles, but they are fixed to a wall and do not carry foot traffic. They can work well for walls when the surface is stable and the fixing method is appropriate. A weak or uneven wall is usually the bigger problem.
- Can I use marble on any wall without worrying about stains?
- No. Marble is a natural stone and can mark, dull, or etch when it meets acids, oils, or standing water. A sealant can slow absorption, but it does not make marble stain-proof. High-use areas such as kitchens and bathrooms need regular care.
